Raymond P. Abe, formerly of Lakewood, passed away to be with the Lord on December 31, 2012, in Newport Beach, CA. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Abe Gels; son, Steven K. Abe; son-in-law, Al Gels; his five grandchildren, Stephanie, Alex, and Parker Abe, and Charlie and Caroline Gels all of whom live in California; locally he is survived by his twin brother, Arthur C. Abe of Westlake; and his ex-wife of 25 years, Carol K. Abe of Rocky River. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph A. Abe and parents Arthur and Ella (Feil) Abe. Raymond was born on January 10, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in March 1946 and served aboard the J.S.S. Franklin Roosevelt. He returned to Cleveland in January of 1948 to attend Fenn College where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He received a Masters of Business from Case Western Reserve University and was employed by Westinghouse Corporation in Cleveland until he retired. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring.
